free online Drumming for all ages

Monday 30 November- 7.00 pm to 8.00pm On Zoom

As part of the Wyndham Learning Festival-23-30 November 2020

Beat Factor Music is proud to be involved again this year in the Festival, with over 140 online events.activities in the Wyndham area.

The drumming class is uplifting, engaging and fun.

Participants will learn African rhythms, technique, warm up exercises and creativity through rhythm.

Experienced players and those with no experience are all welcome. BYO: Djembe, congas, bongos, darbuka.

FAQ: What if I don’t have a drum?

If you don’t have a drum, use a bucket, chair, box or simply tap on your legs.

FAQ: I already know how to play and want to learn more?

We have our normal beginners classes running on Monday 7 & 14 December, from 7-8pm. Intermediate classes running on Tuesdays 8 & 15 December, from 7.30-8.30pm

Mondays: 6.30pm to 7.30pm Beginners -All Ages

Tuesdays: 7.30 pm to 8.30pm Intermediate/Advanced

Fridays: 6.00 pm to 7.00pm African Drumming For Kids/Youths

Fridays: 7.30pm to 8.30pm African Drumming Adults/Seniors

Private Lessons in Drum-kit, Bass guitar, Acoustic and Electric Guitar are conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3.00 pm to 7.00pm.

Please mark the date in your diary as December is a busy time for everyone.
The group’s performance at this annual event would help celebrate the efforts and great talents from everyone in front of friends and families.
It’s a fantastic way to finish the year with interactive performances and with some good company before the summer holiday period.

Emerge Cultural Network Gathering in Wyndham

Emerge Cultural Network Gathering for artists and community members from Indigenous and culturally diverse backgrounds in Wyndham and surrounding areas.

On Saturday 15 September, 2018, Rod from Beat Factor was invited by the Leadership Network, sponsored by Multicultural Arts Victoria, to speak on his background, music education and his music business, Beat Factor Music. Other discussions were on setting goals and planning strategies in order to build on your Arts business in the Wyndham area.

  • Met artists and community leaders from our neighbourhood;
    • Rod Pilois from Beat Factor talked about his journey setting up a music business in Wyndham;
    • Shared a meal and made new connections;
    • Found out about upcoming opportunities.

September 4 – FREE Drum class in African Drumming

FREE Drum Class in African Drumming

On Tuesday 4 September, our community drum group (Beat Factor Drum Group) will be conducting a FREE class from 7.00 to 8.30 pm, at the Saltwater Community Centre, 153 Saltwater Promenade, Point Cook as part of the Wyndham Learning Festival.

If you or others would like to join in for fun and learn some great drumming rhythms., then please make sure you book or register your interest by email or mobile before the September 4th FREE class.

Come and hear our Community Drum Group (Beat Factor Drum Group) perform some African and Latin drum pieces. Join in the fun if you wish or come listen to and support the group on the weekend. Lots of other performances and workshops running on the day as well for everyone.
