Beat Factor Drum Workshops
Join Beat Factor Drum for weekly workshops where intermediate to advanced drummers can explore an array of genres including Afro-Cuban, West-African, and Brazilian-Caribbean styles. Workshops run on Tuesday evenings between 7pm-9pm.
Don’t have any experience? A special beginner’s class is held on the first Tuesday of each month for anyone wanting to have a go. Next open session for newcomers on Tuesday 1 August from 7.30pm. $15 p.p

The classes are designed for beginners through to those who have some experience in drumming and who would like to learn new rhythms and refine their skills and technique.

Our Beat Factor Adult drummers will be performing at the River Festival from 3.300pm to 4.00pm, with a procession along the river with Mr Platypus and others as part of World River week. Wyndham Park, Werribee. Come down, lots of activities for kids and all.

May 21- Rod from Beat Factor Drum Group will be performing with Melbourne’s 6 piece Ska band, Johnny Longshot on Saturday May 21 at Melbourne’s famous Live music venue, The Lomond Hotel in Brunswick. Come down and skank away the night with us. Door charge $10
MAY 27 – Altona Meadows Library Event Launch-Performance- 3.30pm to 4.30pm
Friday May 27 from 3.30 pm to 4.30pm. The Beat Factor Drum Group will be part of a special launch presented by Hobsons Bay City Council at the Altona Meadows Library. Guest speakers and lots of fun for the family, with refreshments, face paining and African and Brazilian drumming performance from us as usual.
MAY 29 –MulticulturalEvent Festival
Point Cook Town Centre-6.00 pm to 6.30pm
May 29-from 6.00pm to 6.30pm, followed by Fireworks in the evening. The Beat Factor Drum Group have been invited to be part of this special combined event presented by Wyndham City Council at the Point Cook Town Centre. Lots of food, rides and fun for the family, live music and African and Brazilian drumming performance from us as usual.

Always looking for more participants to join our community drumming classes in Point Cook. Classes run weekly on Tuesdays in Point Cook.
Beginners classes 6.30 pm- Intermediate classes from 7.15pm.
No experience required, just a willing to have fun and beat the drum.
On February 28, the Beat Factor Drum Group were joined on stage with The Astara Belly Dancers for a joint performance on a number of drum pieces from Middle-eastern to Caribbean/Samba style. The special FriYay event event and sponsored by the Wyndham City council and co-hosted by the Point Cook Pop Up Park.
