Learn African and Samba drumming in a safe, fun and creative environment.

The classes are designed for beginners through to those who have some experience in drumming and who would like to learn new rhythms and refine their skills and technique.

The classes are for those who want to discover their inner rhythm and creativity, learn new skills and be challenged, improve their coordination, muscle memory, flexibility, and overall well being while drumming to awesome music.

Our online classes are recorded and are available for 7 days as a catch-up class.

Participants will learn African, Samba and other Rhythms, warm up exercises, set pieces and creativity through drumming.

Drum from the comfort of your own home.

NO DRUMS: No problems- DIY drum & percussion.

We can guide you through what to use around the household for our online classes.

Wyndham Learning Festival, African & Samba Beats-2 Sept-Now On line


AFRICAN & SAMBA DRUMMING CLASS  (NOW ONLINE)

2 September, 7.00pm-8.00pm on Zoom.

Connect with your community for your wellbeing and have fun.

PRESENTED BY BEAT FACTOR MUSIC

Join us for this Free On-line Community Drum class, as part of the Wyndham Learning Festival.

No Drums-no problem, participants can try out their rhythmic skills on tables, chairs, buckets, pots and pans, utensils, pencils & pens, rulers, body percussion and anything that they can use around the house as a drum.

BYO drums: Djembe, congas, bongos, snare drum, any hand or stick drum, hand percussion, or any other creative percussive instrument to the session, all welcome.

This class is designed for beginners through to those who have some experience in drumming. No musical ability is required.

Participants will learn African to Rock- Hip-Hop rhythms, warm up exercises, set rhythmic parts, sound textures and creativity through drumming.

The drumming class is uplifting & engaging

Due to the current COVID  restrictions- our ‘face to face’ classes will be on hold. On-line classes on zoom or on our You Tube channel available for those interested in 2021. Please contact us and we will send the links. Thanks for your understanding.

A New Year brings a new beginning and we hope that 2021 brings hope, new challenges and happiness to all.

We are offering some new specialized music classes for 2021 along with our regular popular ones.

Individual Classes resumes from  Monday 9 August, 2021- 3.30pm  to 7.30pm. Mondays to Thursdays.

Group Classes in African & Brazilian Drumming resumes from Tuesday 3 August, 7.00pm at Saltwater Community Centre.

Lessons UPDATE october/november

As Melbourne is slowly easing restrictions. Our individual lessons and Group lessons will continue to be delivered On-line, on Zoom, Skype or Facetime.

Our Term 4 classes have been running now for some weeks.

We hope to have our Drum group classes outdoors from 23 November, and our one-to one classes in Drum-kit, bass and guitar soon afterwards, once some of the restrictions have been lifted.

To ensure the safety of our community in the West, we will have our COVID safety procedures in place, such as, keeping social distancing, wearing of masks, wiping down of equipment before and after use and access of hand sanitizers for all our students and parents.

On-line lessons via zoom will still continue for some students as well.

Our On-line beginners class in African Drumming are on Mondays, 7.00pm to 8.00pm.

Our On-line Intermediate class in African Drumming are on Tuesdays 7.30 pm to 8.30pm.
