Always looking for more participants to join our community drumming classes in Point Cook. Classes run weekly on Tuesdays in Point Cook.

Beginners classes 6.30 pm- Intermediate classes from 7.15pm.

No experience required, just a willing to have fun and beat the drum.

AFRICAN & SAMBA BEATS- Weekly Classes

PRESENTED BY BEAT FACTOR MUSIC

Regular GROUP CLASS DATES

WHEN: Tuesdays

TIME:  Beginners Class: 6.30pm to 7.15pm

Intermediate/Advanced Class: 7.15 to 8.30pm

WHERE:Saltwater Community Centre, Saltwater Promenade, Point Cook

New Adult Beginner Classes starting in June

COST: $10-$15 per class – under 18 years

COST: $15-$20 per class – over 18 years

About the Class:

The drumming class is uplifting, engaging and fun.

Participants will learn:

  1. African & Brazilian rhythms
  2. Instrument technique – Djembe- Dun Duns, Surdo, Caixa, Repenique and others more
  3. warm up exercises
  4. Set drum pieces
  5. creativity through rhythm.- Solos & improvisation skills

Experienced players and those with no experience are all welcome.

BYO: Drums (if preferred)

 If you don’t have a drum, hand or stick drums and percussion will be supplied in the class.

Connect with your community for your wellbeing and have fun.

Social distancing required – Hand Sanitizers provided

Supported & Permission granted by Wyndham City Council.
