Emerge Cultural Network Gathering for artists and community members from Indigenous and culturally diverse backgrounds in Wyndham and surrounding areas.
On Saturday 15 September, 2018, Rod from Beat Factor was invited by the Leadership Network, sponsored by Multicultural Arts Victoria, to speak on his background, music education and his music business, Beat Factor Music. Other discussions were on setting goals and planning strategies in order to build on your Arts business in the Wyndham area.
Met artists and community leaders from our neighbourhood;
• Rod Pilois from Beat Factor talked about his journey setting up a music business in Wyndham;
• Shared a meal and made new connections;
• Found out about upcoming opportunities.
Thanks to Miriam from MAV and other local artists who came on the day for their support.
The Beat Factor Drum Group performed recently at the Point Cook Pop Up Park on the 17th March at the Point Cook Town Centre.
Students from the community drum class at Saltwater Community Center along with some of the younger students from Beat Factor Music Academy joined forces to perform a number of African and Latin Samba drum pieces.
