Percussion Performance and Free Drum Workshop

Join Rod (Beatfactor Solo) for a free Percussion Performance and Samba Drum Workshop. outside forecourt area of Wyndham Cultural Centre, Werribee.

Beat Factor Music Schedule:

  • 1.00pm to 1.25 pm (Free Percussion Performance, previewing new works from upcoming EP CD)
  • 1.25pm to 1.30pm (Junior Drum Students performance from Beat Factor Music Academy)
  • 1.30pm to 2.30pm (Open Free Samba Drum workshop)

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Get ready to experience the energy and excitement of drumming with Rod Pilois (Beatfactor) previewing new works from his upcoming EP CD ’Cajon Blue’, followed by a fun and interactive drum workshop. His new works has various musical influences from Rock, Jazz, Latin to Reggae.

The workshop is very accessible and is learned on percussion instruments which are easy to hold and play. The workshop would consist of a selection of lightweight to medium size percussion instruments. 

Samba drumming is an inclusive way of creating music; 

  • perfect for participants of all ages and abilities.
  • for connecting with one another and musical enjoyment. 

Artist Spotlight: Rod Pilois, (Beatfactor)

Rod Pilois is a qualified music educator, percussion specialist and seasoned performer. He has played with several artists from various musical styles at major venues, events and festivals.

Beatfactor is a true powerhouse of drumming, from performances at festivals, leading weekly workshops in the Western region, to its much loved Samba Drum workshops program in schools, communities, festivals and business organizations. 

Join Rod for a captivating performance and workshop where you’ll be taken from musical enjoyment of his new works to learning rhythmic patterns and ensemble playing skills in the workshop. His warm, inclusive style encourages creativity, confidence, and connection, inviting you to just play the drums.
