Rod Pilois is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and music educator. Rod has played with a number of artists from various musical styles and background, from Rock, Jazz, Latin, Reggae & Ska. Projects have been from independent bands to commercial outfits and has performed with other musicians and artists overseas.
Brought up in Melbourne from an early age, his drumming experience began in Primary School, where he played in the drum corps, marching the students to their classrooms every morning.

Out of his passion for drumming and teaching, he started a community drumming group (Beat Factor Drum Group) in the West where his students have performed at various multicultural arts Festivals and Pop Up Parks performing African and Latin drumming. Rod has also performed at past major events, such as Australian Grand Prix, Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, AFL Grand Final Parade, Moomba Parade, Fringe Festival and at various corporate events in Melbourne.
